At the Young Entrepreneurs Seminar leading businesswomen LuAn Mitchell-Halter who has been featured in many magazines was the only woman speaker. She talked about succeeding in business. Her main point was that change happens and you have to learn to adapt to succeed. The other main topic she addressed was not to judge a book by its cover, never pre-judge people because no one these days is predictable by appearances alone. I felt her best quote of the night was Shift Happens, when she was talking about change and how you have to go with the flow and learn from the past.

Paper Doll Testimonials
| Hi LuAn,
I just finished reading Paper Dolls. Your life is truly amazing, to get through all that triumphantly you have to be made of some pretty stern stuff.
Much of it I could relate to as there are many similarities in my life, being raised in a small farm town, ugly duckling in school, (they nicknamed me 'sparrow legs') to being a teen-age Mother which blew my chances of going to college which I'd been soooooo looking forward to as a straight A student, to beauty queen, modeling, entrepreneur, to loss of my spouse last year in Dec. during Hanukkah, the atrocities his family pulled. Well, you get the idea:-)
By Jan. I need to get back to the right frame of mind to restart my businesses. The cosmetics line was all set to go, when I had to put the project aside after hubby had a stroke & I had to be caregiver. In the meanwhile my CFO & mentor moved to Vermont where he bought a couple of zipcodes (a farm), semi-retired where he seems quite happy writing a book he's long wanted to write & dealing in antiques. In these days I don't think distance makes that much of a difference, but I have some updated ideas to my business plan & may not need him to be involved.
Do you still have a place in the desert? If so,
I'd love to invite you to lunch, dinner, or cocktails when it's convenient.
Hope you have a wonderful holiday season.

I am an adjunct instructor at our local community college. I teach a reading course and as motivational reading I assigned them your book. We had our book discussion on Monday and it was a great success. It was one of those great moments in teaching.
They were enthusatic about discussing the book. They kept saying this is the first book I have ever read all the way through. Thank you for sharing your story and for being an inspirition to my students and to others.
I would like for my students to be able to speak with you. So many of them are young single women with a child or children who are coming back to school to better themselves or their situation. When we read Charlie Jones's book, he linked up with us by speaker phone and my students got to ask him questions. These students are only with me until the 16th of October, so contact me soon. I am so grateful to you for the help you have already given my twenty students, and if you could speak with them please contact me.
I entend to teach your book again this next bi-term.
Sincerely yours, Dianne Luebbert Reading Instructor Henderson Community College

Eye of the Tiger Testimonials
| "I've read Paper Doll more than once and ordered The Eye of The Tiger the day it was released. I'm loving it almost as much as Paper Doll and have listened to the CD's multiple times as well. I've recently had a major breakthrough that I feel is a result of your works and wanted to share it with you.
I've been in a serious career rut and have known that I needed a change for a long time. The problem was that I couldn't identify a line of work that I could be passionate about. The situation was really getting me down and I was questioning myself in a big way.
Last week I saw a commercial for a community college and decided to check out their website. This is the kind of decision that I would normally agonize over (from a financial security standpoint) and probably bounce off 80 friends before making. "Go Gut" and "listen to your God given instincts" was running through my head and I just knew what decision to make immediately. Since making it, I haven't questioned or doubted it once - further proof it was the right call.
I start a Digital Media Arts course on Sept 6th and am so excited I can hardly contain myself. I am so enjoying feeling passion and excitement, it's a far cry from what I was feeling.
Recently I also recognized a 'screw' and dealt with them immediately (I was picturing you in the hardware store in your high heel boots and almost laughed out loud!)
Keep up the good work, your positive influence does make a difference in people's lives."

Inspired Testimonials
| Hi LuAn, this is Nicole Custer, I met you on the airplane from Vegas to Dallas. I attached the picture we took at the airport (yeah!). I just wanted to let you know what a pleasure it was meeting you. You are absolutely beautiful inside and out (especially out, but I know that it's what's inside that counts and from talking to you, you are the whole package!). It's a wonderful thing that you're doing to help other people. I've been surfing around some of your websites but haven't had a lot of time yet to spend looking at everything. You are definitely an inspiration and I would love to talk to you more.
I hope your convention went well in Dallas. Did you have fun? There was a Margarita Ball charity event for children that night, we were at.
Chris and I had a great time in Dallas at our training and even signed up for another training in June in Palm Springs. If you're around when we're there, I would love to see you! The training is called the Journey and it's supposed to help open us up and let go of our past experiences (baggage) to help us become better people/parents/spouses . . . and also some training I'm sure for our business as well.
Our business is another reason why I wanted to contact you. If you check out my website: www.seeking.worldventures.biz it will show you all about what we do. It's so much fun! I would love to share more of it with you if you are interested. We met a gentlemen in our company this weekend that said he has been talking with Michael Beckwith about the company as well - made me think of you again . . . hmmm, law of attraction at work???
I know you're busy and I'm writing a book, but I wanted to let you know how thankful I am that I had the chance to meet you and talk with you on the flight.
Hugs, Nicole

It was a great pleasure to meet you at the Pass It On premier. Thank you for giving me the honor of taking a photo with you, which is attached here, along with another photo of me. You are such a passionate person, so full of energy and zest for life.
I would like to share with you my own insights and love of life, so may I mail you a copy of my award-winning finalist book Waking Spirit: Prose & Poems the Spirit Sings? To where should I mail it?
Please do keep in touch, as I'm always interested in conversing with like-minded people. I'd love to get to know you better.
Thank you. Again, it was great meeting you, and I look forward to hearing from you when you get a chance.
Best regards,
